No Huddle Life
A dream day for me: I'm a total newbie fly-fisherman and fledgling E-Biker (watch me barrel down a steep mountain trail looking precariously shaky), but with some expert help to guide me on the way. I would have been lost (literally) without the Colorado trout whisperer Jack Bruner; the amazing dudes from QuietKat, all-terrain E-bikes; and Jay Stalnacker from WetFly and their superb fly-fishing gear.
How cool is it you can E-Bike into a remote mountain lake with all the gear you really need to set up camp and get right at the fishing—without a multi-hour exhausting hike up the mountain. I love hiking, but when the trout are rising, let me get to it!
That’s one of the reasons E-Bikes are so amazing. And the Tenkara fly-rods—you can actually be fly-fishing with these ultra-simple, super-effective fly rods in less than a minute. For a patience-challenged guy like me (and beginner fly-fishing wannabe) this rod is ideal.
But NoHuddle Life is not just about the gear, as compelling as that can be. It’s about getting outside. Taking on fun and challenging adventures. Learning new stuff. Unfixing your eyes from the computer screen. Getting your body off the couch.
Outdoor adventure of any kind is one of finest therapies you can find. It’s usually great physical exercise, and there’s magic in being one with the pines, breathing fresh air, and the view of big sky. I’m betting on it being at least a part of the proverbial fountain of youth.
